Three approaches to Business Development for the Inventor, from the perspective of three different types of Attorney Partners and Business Partners:
1. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): The Business Partner buys or sells the Inventor's business. If the Business Partner can't afford to buy the business now, we can create a business plan and operating agreement and provide for the Inventor and Business Partner to build a business together. The Business Partner may be able to buy the business later, based on a risk-reward formula.
2. Intellectual Property (IP) - Grow the Business Partner's current business by improving upon the Business Partner's business model with the Inventor's trademarks, patents and technology (e.g. Licensor/ Franchisor)
3. Patent enforcement - The Business Partner is first an infringer who pays the Inventor royalties based on the Business Partner's past infringement and then secures a license from the Inventor to continue to use the Inventor's patents for the Business Partner's business in the future.
